Dems love-hate Huckabee; Giuliani in big trouble
by WonkoKevin
Mike Huckabee led Hillary Clinton in Wonkosphere buzz share 28% to 20% over the last 24 hours, thanks in large part to attention by liberal bloggers. Huckabee pulled down almost 60% buzz share amongst liberals on Saturday, and also dominated the conservative blogosphere with 40% buzz share.
We’ll be releasing a press release tomorrow that will show how Wonkosphere data suggests that Huckabee is the most likeable Republican amongst both conservative and liberal bloggers. Today’s liberal buzz on Huck (primarily about the aids story) further suggests that liberals might have found their “Hillary” they can be obsessive about.
They better start getting obsessed with Huckabee, because he just might sweep. Think about it–amongst Republicans, there is no other candidate that can say that. No way that Giuliani and McCain win Iowa, and no way Thompson wins New Hampshire. But Huckabee could easily win both an become undefeatable.
Wonkosphere buzz share results support another move up in Huckabee poll numbers, beyond what we’ve seen to date. The graph below shows that Huck’s buzz share has gone from around 18% to 36% over the last two weeks. That means we can expect another increase in his poll numbers over the next 2-3 weeks.

By the same logic, Rudy Giuliani is tanking in attention. He’s on Meet the Press this morning, which is a decent move, but geez shouldn’t he have done that months ago?

Finally, Fred Thompson says he’s going to start campaigning, so he can finish a “strong third”. Nuf said.
