Des Moines Register focused on Clinton, Romney, Huckabee

by WonkoKevin

Let’s take a look at who the Des Moines Register has been paying attention to… In a previous post we looked at the Register’s coverage of presidential candidates in the first ten days of the November.  Then, Obama, Dodd, and Richardson had the most attention on the Democratic side, and McCain had the most attention on the Republican side, by quite a bit.  In the past week, Clinton has been featured far more than anyone else; Romney and Huckabee got the most attention on Republican side.  Wonkosphere counted up the number of candidate-focused stories in the Register from 11/15/2007 to 11/23/2007:

1. Hillary Clinton, 10

2. Mitt Romney, 5

2. Joe Biden, 5

2. Chris Dodd, 5

2. John Edwards, 5

6. Mike Huckabee, 4

6. Barack Obama, 4

8. Dennis Kucinich, 3

9. Fred Thompson, 2

9. Tom Tancredo, 2

11. Rudy Giuliani, 1

11. John McCain, 1

11. Ron Paul, 1
