Wonkoblog has done numerous posts over the past several months about how conservative bloggers obsession with Hillary Clinton also means that there is very little substantive discussion and “vetting” of the Republican candidates.  Here we are on the doorstep of Iowa and New Hampshire and this play still hasn’t changed its script.  Do conservative bloggers even care who is running on the Republican ticket, or is it just ABC (Anybody but Clinton)?

The Conservative Buzz in Wonkosphere is constructed by going through all of the posts by conservative bloggers and comparing them to one another, measuring how similar one post is to another.  We then average-out all of those pair-wise comparisons to find which posts, on average, are closest to all other posts.  In otherwords, the Buzz identifies which posts are most representative of the collective whole.  Take a look at today’s… Where’s the compelling piece for Rudy or Mike?  How about a post about Fred’s federalism or Ron Paul’s latest internet innovation or how Mitt is doing in South Carolina or John’s next trip to Iraq?  No no no, it’s ABC.  Notice also that many of the posts come from the site Against Hillary, which further shows the power that this site has in driving the overall conservation in the conservative blogosphere.
