Mitt Romney finished in first place in Wonkosphere buzz share (30%) amongst conservative bloggers yesterday, taking away buzz from Rudy Giuliani, Ron Paul, and Fred Thompson. Bloggers are questioning how Romney really feels about “amnesty” for illegal immigrants, and a new poll shows Romney 6 points ahead of Giuliani in New Hampshire (with McCain firmly in third place, 3 behind Giuliani and 7 in front of Thompson). Everybody’s talking about the new Romney ad about the Jihadi threat–not very positively–and of course there’s the on-going discussion of which Republican represents the Republican part of the Republican Party (don’t you love rhetoric!). Meanwhile, Thompson’s decline to 5% buzz share represents four consecutive days of decreasing attention, understandable if he were coming off a debate loss, but puzzling coming off a win.
