The ideal supporter
by WonkoKevin
I have a quiz for you today. After months of research, I have identified the factors that make for an ideal political supporter. If you were running for office, what type of supporter would you like?
Answer these four simple questions to find your ideal supporter.
I prefer a supporter who:
1. (a) Shows up at every straw poll they can, or (b) doesn’t show up at straw polls at all.
2. (a) Is obsessed with writes and commenting on blogs and discussion boards, or (b) doesn’t know what MySpace is.
3. (a) Shows up at opponent events to try to steal headlines, or (b) stays at home.
4. (a) Gives me money, or (b) keep their money until they know who’s going to win.
If you answered (a) to each question, you might want to take a look at Ron Paul’s supporters as a prototype. Oddly, from the comments that one reads in some of the political blogosphere, others think that (b) is a better answer. Shame on those Paul supporters for being so darn enthusiastic! That’s not fair!
If Clinton or Obama or Giuliani or Thompson had supporters who were as enthusiastic as Ron Paul’s, these horse races would be over already.
