Rudy riding out storms
According to data tracked by Wonkosphere, Rudy Giuliani is beating all other candidates over the last two weeks in terms of positive sentiment from his constituency. Conservative bloggers are about 50% more positive on Giuliani than they are on his competitors.
As examples… Power Line likes the meat and potatoes of Giuliani and lower taxes, Sister Toldjah hads choice words about the story about his daughter not supporting his campaign, and Big Lizards highlights perhaps the quote of the day:
Rudy Giuliani at yesterday’s early-morning debate, arguing in favor of eliminating the “death tax”: “It drops to zero in 2010; then it goes to 55% in 2011. You do not want to be on a respirator in 2010.”
Liberal bloggers are keeping their eye on Giuliani more than anyone else too. Ezra Klein has representative comments: Rudy and the Laffer Curve.
Giuliani appears to be succesfully weathering the summer storms and waiting for the fall colors.
